California Rubicon Trail Run

We can probably do two groups. I'm sure you won't be the only one who can only do one night.
Is the plan to camp at buck Island first night? If so, those that need to take off next day can just back track to Loon.
When it rains it pours.
The forum's Rubicon trip is September 16-18.
My jeep club's Rubicon trip is scheduled September 19-23, with the 19th and 23rd designated as travel days.
I wish I could do both trips, but alas I cannot.
Be sure to post current conditions when you guys get off the trail and regain Internet service. I'll be thinking of you during our club run a few days later.

That’s what I am planning, B.I.L. the first night and Rubicon springs the next.
Yep, or finish the trail since you came that far.

It is a great trail. Three full days of nonstop obstacles punctuated by fishing lakes and great scenery.

Another route that I have done multiple times is in through Loon and out the Wentworth Springs entrance, although I wouldn’t recommend it for those that don’t like deep water.

I wouldn't be opposed to shoot for the Springs if time allowed to make it there before nightfall. I won't make that mistake again. Big Sluice in the dark wasn't my idea of a good time. If there is even the remote chance we couldn't make it, I'm digging in at B.I.L. Yeah sucks to break down camp twice, but it's good practice, right?
