California Rubicon Trip Sep 8-10th (Cancelled Due To Fire)

That trails on my list, I have always heard you want 5 days to really enjoy it.

Yeah I was under the impression people generally do it 3-4 days. Extra days of camping are never bad though haha. I’m game for an extra day if it means we get to go wheeling. That being said I have never run it so I don’t really know.

Unfortunately I have no open days in Oct. I will be doing my Sedona Trip the fist weekend then a party at my cabin then I will be in Kansas City the second and third weekend

We could run swamp lake which some people do in one or two days. Apparently it’s like a mini dusy. Then we could run a shorter trail like bald mountain or another which is a less than day trip and camp around the shaver lake area. That would give us three days of decent wheeling I think. Not quiet the con but it’s something

Like I said earlier though we should start making the yearly rubicon trip in June/July. Fire risk is too high in September.

Hey guys, I'm planning to be on the Rubicon Oct 2-3 (or 4th). I don't have a reservation at Rubicon Springs but it's late enough I understand it isn't necessary. Just an FYI.
