1. Is this as bad as it looks?
2. Is there any price worth offering given how much work it appears to need? Is it salvageable?

Been looking for the right TJ/LJ for a long time and this one is located nearby.

Appreciate the input!

If you’re looking for the “right” LJ… this isn’t it. Don’t start from behind the 8 ball.

Also, expand your search. You’re in a pretty terrible area to find one in good shape.

No, it’s worse than it looks. There has been a lot of cover-up on that underside. The inside frame will undoubtedly be worse.

Is it as bad as it looks? No.

It's worse because the frame rusts from the inside out.

wont be long there wont be any worth a shit ! I'm hunting one now and there's plenty of them up north in the rust belt but not many down here....

An LJ? There are usually a handful for sale around here. Do you have a specific want/need/price range?

where are you seeing them i've been keeping a eye out on marketplace and craigslist...

These are just the ones close by: all in GA. Just typed “Jeep lj” into the search

^ LJR with hardtop on that last one.

This one I took a screen shot of. It looks like a decent build for 18k, it’s in LJ/TJ unlimited buy/sell/trade

Wrangler I’ve found is too broad. Search lj, or unlimited(but apply an age filter) that orange rubi is what you want!!! That thing is sharp.
