Hi all, I just joined. Picked up a 2001 Sahara going on a year ago. Have been wanting one for ages. Purchased from the original owner's son and it is very well maintained. Had 65k miles and was a tow rig for their motor home. Has a DPG off road Super Ultimate kit, Detroit true trac front and rear, tom wood drive shaft, KOZ off road rear bumper, etc. etc. I am very happy with it so far, it preformed great during hunting season and the other adventures I have gone on.
I did find a great deal and installed a Hanson front bumper and Warn XD9000i.
Also picked up a few cargo racks and a matching spare wheel I will be mounting off the rear bumper. And planning to do a DIY bikini top for summer.
Would also like to pick up a nice portable air compressor and keep adding to the trail gear and tools I've got so far.
Nothing else major planned. Well until I win the lottery then I will drop a Cummins 4BT in it (I've been a 12v owner for a long time) and go way bigger.
Gearing up to replace all fluids etc. at 70k.
Only problem I have had so far was a bad radiator cap that gave me a good scare on a hunting trip. Was able to figure it out and fix it pretty quickly thanks to forums.
Any tips or suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
