Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

I’m super happy to have got my mid-arm last year. Combined with the Fox 2.0’s from @pcoplin my LJ is the most comfortable riding solid axle vehicle in the stable. It’s notably better than my JLU on 2.5” kings and better than my 392 on 2.5” Foxes before it was stolen.

That's an impressive endorsement. :)

Getting the tune correct is critical, so that means @pcoplin did an excellent job. I just got mine re-tuned and it's excellent now on these beat-up Tucson roads.

I'd like to get the mid-arm in the next two years. We'll see if I can do my part to make that happen.

To play devils advocate a little, in all fairness TJ's are a minimum of 18 years old. Being a company they should focus where more of the market is with the newer stuff. However, it does make it hard to justify when they keep promising things that don't or take forever to be fulfilled :/

The switch to 1/4” and additional skin reinforcements is interesting.

Have they been receiving enough complaints on it’s integrity to necessitate the cost increase?

I see no reason to go savvy over flux now. The important design points that savvy was so unique for now is made by a small business (literally one dude as far as I know that does this on the side in his friends garage out of love) and is actively involved on this forum. Savvy has failed and is trying to rebuild the brand but I’d say is doing so poorly. I get you need to make money but even in the last live stream posted here they said they lost files and are just trying to make the biggest market for Jeep armor seemed like they’re just in the business for Gucci expensive products bc they knew aluminum already is so they can up charge more. Whether that be true or not on their intentions, that just doesn’t give me the same pride as buying what savvy was or what flux is now. The rebrand has lost my hope in the them and I hope to see that change but I’ll be waiting for flux stuff before I do any savvy.

The TJ market is not dead. Off road companies think they are because of the newer models but the demand is there especially for good products.

Obviously not, given even just this forum alone. You just said the answer yourself, though. Companies "think" it is and need to compete with one another on the newest stuff. It's where the majority of the market is now and from a financial standpoint definitely makes the most sense. They're probably able to mass produce and sell those products many fold over the TJ market.

I'm curious of this as well. Considering how they seem to be so general market driven, given the complaints about the designs of newer jeep parts (referring to a post somewhere that MrBlaine clarified he had nothing to do with the design of a front bumper), it's interesting to see. I wonder if they are just pushing numbers to look better or if there was a necessity.

All the hate for something people have been “dying” for. lol

Still one of, if not the best looking bumper in my opinion. Exciting to see some type of progress

Want the products not the business drama. Yet here we’re are on page 105 on this thread with just more cad sneak peaks and nothing tangible, and this isn’t even all the threads talking about it. And this is only for a front bumper. They had a list of tj stuff they wanted to redesign but I don’t think it’ll get half way down the list before they give up. Still hope them the best but dogging on them now is fun.
