Got to talking with a new coworker tonight. He spent a significant amount of time driving a recovery vehicle in the Army. He's willing to teach me the finer points of using a winch for time in a Jeep out putzing around in the woods. Is that a deal, or what.

He's got great stories about having to winch tanker trucks back onto the road, whilst having to dodge the folks on the fire line AND not having to attach a snatch block to a burning tree. I figure he's got some skills.

Wow! Ummm...never once considered the kind of pressure/conditions he must have been working under. That takes a special kind of talent, to be sure.

Or a special kind of stupid. The guy has skills, just not in a Jeep. He used to off road a Chevy S10. Hard core style. Good stories there too. I listen to what he says.
