Not to long ago my drivers seat, in my 06 TJ, started this awful squeak anytime I moved or accelerated. This was driving me crazy. Tonight I finally pulled the cover up on the seat and found that the issue was a premade slit in the top corners of the seat frame were rubbing the brace for the headrest.
Here's the side that was rubbing. I took a pair of needle nose and a flat head screwdriver and bent it away from the frame. Seems to be a poor design, maybe a little extra weld could've avoided this. Hopefully this will help others with this issue. Now i am back to just the normal, more ignorable, squeaks of the suspension and bell-housing
