Here's a funnel cloud that dropped down in the back yard last July. There were several that day, scary stuff. Let's hope we don't see any this year!

Yup this was south Jersey, we get some gnarly storms in the summer. Get an F-1 F-2 Toronto here n there rarely but it happens.

This has been my dream to see an actual funnel hit the ground. I've been an avid weather geek since I was child and the weather channel is always on. When I retire my plan is to spend a week or 2 in the mid west chasing down storms with experienced people of course lol. It would be amazing to see but the destruction and sadness it causes sucks.

It definitely is a sight to see. We had a tornado devastate the city of Washington one town over right before thanksgiving in 2013. Seeing the destruction first hand and knowing people who lost every material possession they had really makes you appreciate the power of mother nature.
