I have a 99 sport 4.0. It has an ancient RE long arm kit and their now dead shocks and sagging 5” springs. I use this jeep for camping, towing a teardrop, and desert “exploring”, ie: a lotta 40mph through dry washes and washboard roads with minor rock scrambles
I don’t want to be silly in spending money so I have it in mind to just replace the RE springs with new RE 5.5-6 springs. And put normal fox 2.0 shocks in..
Is this a sound plan on my part? I’m learning quickly about JEEP mechanics but the “engineering” aspect of suspension and SETUP is intimidating.
