Just finished installing front brake rotors (Centric) and pads (Posi-quiet) on newly acquired 2001 tj Sport. Afterwards, I noticed these clips in a plastic bag in the box (see pics). There are 16 of the little ones and 4 of the big ones. When I removed the old pads I didn't see either one installed. I think the little clips should be installed like in the picture. If so, why weren't they installed on the old pads? I have no idea what the big ones are. Should I remove the calipers and install the little ones and discard the big ones? Thanks for helping me out.
