Once you have it home and after you spend this weekend fawning all over it and congratulating yourself for such a great purchase, the first thing to do is to go top to bottom (especially bottom) looking for any signs of rust. Make notes and/or take pics of every place you find any and go back later to KILL IT!
Use wire brushes and sandpaper to remove it where you can and rust stoppers to halt it wherever it lurks...followed by a good coat of paint to seal the deal.

Then, and only then, you can start looking at the throw pillows and fuzzy dice (upgrades).
