Should I buy this winch? (Smittybilt XRC Gen 3 9.500LB SR)

Hey everyone!

SMITTY BILT XRC GEN 3 9.500LB SR​

I have found a great offer for this winch. Should I buy it?

My first choice was the Warn M8000s, but Warn is a lot more expensive here and not as widely available. (I am not in USA)

My personal opinion is you'll have a better long-term experience if you go with a better quality winch from Warn... the M8000 is a good choice.

I agree with Jerry that the M8000 is a better winch if you can get one. That said, I got a deal that was too good to pass on for the same Smittybilt that you are looking at. I was a bit skeptical about trusting recovery to a budget winch, but it seems they have improved some of the issues that failed on the earlier versions including the control connector. For what it's worth, I have used mine for about 15 pulls so far without any complaints.
