Unless you are legally required, I would say "no."

unless it's stopping you from passing an inspection or getting plates. is personal preference.
if you want your's wider, then go wider.

Fender flares, not fenders. The flares are plastic. The fenders are metal.

Why? What do the current ones prevent? Or the new ones gain? If just for looks I would caution against spending too much on "luxury" until this fool virus thing is dealt with.
