I figured I'd make a separate thread so it's easier to follow. I've not run either trail but slick rock has been on my list for a while now.

I added a poll to the top so people could mark down which of the weekend would work better. Whichever gets the most votes will be the dates. Edit (removed since a winner was selected)

@bobthetj03 @Justin Homan @U8MYDZT @Midnight LJR @Mr. Bills @Daryl @DrDmoney @Indy @Thunderhead @Lonewolf @lowranger @tomtaylz
Tag anyone else you can think would be interested.
And drop some photos of past trips if you got them.

Might be important to note the 21st is Father’s Day I Think. So that one won’t be possible for me. But the 20th would likely be fine.

I will be in hopefully, any weekend is that same that far in advance. All the County Fairs are canceling so its been a cluster F trying to deal with them. I'll vote for the 13th and would want to camp with the family probably.

Later works better for me. We usually do Slick Rock in July when it is warmer. It's a 7 hr. drive for me, so to make it worth the trip, I'd glamp a couple nights.

I have no issues pushing it into july if it works for others and camping would be more enjoyable. I'm just trying to get something on the books.

Well, it's all up in the air with circumstances what they are. I had planned to camp in Fort Bragg 4th of July week, but not even sure if the campgrounds will be open if this Covid crap keeps going. Good to have something on the books though, so kudos to @Alex01 for that. My vote would be anytime after July 4th.

Thanks for the tag Alex! I have a full trail Rubicon trip planned the 5th and would prefer the 27th so I can make sure I have time to fix the stuff I may break. I might be able to pull off the 13th but will be rough.

Here is my Deer Valley trail run from last year, its not very hard but is super scenic. I ran it from the north and camped at Blue lakes

Lake Alpine has some good fishing out by the dam. My wife caught some trout on our last outing to SR.
