Spiced Reservoir is a nice camp spot. I am pretty sure I see smaller RC’s there a lot. And it’s on the road on the way to the trail head

Lake Alpine has sites to fit RV's. They also now take reservations online, so that is a plus. I may go old school and go Rubicon style solo.
