So has someone actually fitted an active subwoofer under the front seats?

I’ve read many discussions on various places to put a sub woofer...but has anyone bought an off the shelf active subwoofer and fitted it under the front seats?

Are the seats handed in any way...ie can you place the sub under either seat?

Yep, one of these: https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Subwoofers/Powered+Subwoofer/TS-WX130DA
Either seat is fine. The floor has a raised section so I had to make a small platform out of timber to fix it to.
There are some photos in my thread here: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/tj-build.30370/page-2#post-790699

While you have the seat out fit a seat lift kit ;)
Great thanks...to be clear you don’t need to apply the seat raiser to make room for the active sub?

No it should fit ok, but only just. The pioneer is the only (decent) powered sub I sould find that would fit without lifting.

If you do lift the seat be sure to cable tie the seat adjustment cable out of the way, (centrally) or it will jam when you slide the seat back and forth..
