Soft Doors

Hello, everyone. I was thinking about buying some Bestop full soft doors, but was wondering about how well they fit. I already have the Bestop Supertop installed, so they should fit well together, I'd imagine. Will these fit right out of the box, or is there any additional work needed to install them properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been running the Bestop full doors for 4 years now and honestly love them. I held off on getting them for a few years due to some negative reviews about fit and leakage but the reality is, they are soft doors so there is only so much sealing and stiffness you can expect.

They fit almost perfectly right out of the box. There is some room for adjusting the frame up and down for a better seal but I really do not think it does much. The inside seal on this door is so thick that you only need to be close in order to get it right. It is actually so thick that it makes closing difficult. I wrapped a strap behind the inside paddle to give me a better pull point to close it.

They do flex a bit at highway speed where the upper door will pull away but that I expect that with any soft door. It is not enough to let water in because of the thick seal. The only minor negative is that they will let water in if your Jeep sits in a heavy rain. Because of the windshield hinge and the exterior gap with my passenger door, water will be drawn into the gap and eventually pools on the inside door pocket. I usually have to empty it out if there is a heavy rain.

The plus side is that these completely gave my Jeep a new life and I run them 9 months out of the year. The interior feels a lot roomier with them on and the easiness to take off the top skin or remove the doors altogether makes them well worth it.

I had to tweak the hinge pins to be able to go into the hinge bushings. I ended up laying a straight edge across both pins and then bend them until they are parallel. They would not install as delivered.
