Hello. Looking to buy a Soft top for a 2006 TJ that has a hard top. Looking to have a soft top for summer and swap to hard top for winter.
Recommendations? Still have my hang the hard top rig from a 2001. Will need all hardware. Looking at the Bestop Supertop but see a number of people have cracked the header on installation. Always had Bestop back to my CJ's. Is the Supertop worth it? Other options similar? Better to just get stock hardware and get a new stock cover? Appreciate any suggestions.

If you’re wanting the best cost: Find a used frame and or top with it.
Want the best: bestop twill

I prefer the framed tops but I know some love the frameless. That’s a preference you can make.

Get a used frame or go frameless (still need door surrounds and tailgate bar). Buy the top of your choice. Bestop hasn't been the best top for quite a while. After 4 years with my Sierra Offroad $300 top, I'd never go back to Bestop.
Frameless Bestop Trektop NX with flip back sunroof.

I have the TrekTop NX frameless on all of my Wranglers.

No frame to have to mess with or store, easy to install and remove. I prefer the look. The only downside I have ever seen is you can't roll the rear window up while the top is up like you can with the framed tops.
