The soft upper door on my the drivers side of my TJ seems to have a seal that is a bit deformed. It's almost like it was a bit tweaked outward when made or by a PO. I'm thinking I want to hit it with the heat gun on low and try to persuade it back into alignment.

Has anyone tried this prior? I'm a bit worried this is either A) an idiotic thing to do, or B) something that will never have a chance of working.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The half doors I just picked up do the same thing. I adjusted the doors and it got a little bit better, but it still does it a little bit. I'm not sure what the fix is, but hopefully somebody else chimes in

So, reporting back in on this, I think this might work to some degree. Using a bit of redneck ingenuity along with my trash-tier heat gun, they fit much better ... at least for the time being. I'm thinking it may not last, or might need additional persuasion sessions, but for the time being, it looks pretty good.
