I started my TJ “adventure” 8 months ago with a 1998 SE 2.5 that needed rehabilitating. Along the way, I learned a lot about what to look for and how to fix what I can’t live with. I sold it on Saturday for less than I should have, but my wife and I agreed we needed one that was more highway friendly.

Now I’m on the hunt! I’ll keep an eye out on the FS board, but if any of you are in TN, AR, MS, AL, GA, or FL and see something peach, let me know. My budget is about $15k and here are some ideals for me:
  • Less than 150,000 miles
  • Southern vehicle, no rust
  • 4.0 (will consider 2.5 though if the other attributes warrant it)
  • Auto or manual, but manual preferred
  • LJ ideal
  • Would like to find a hard top and full doors, I’m set up for a hoist in the summer in my shop
  • No body lift
  • Don’t mind some A/T tire upgrades and moderate suspension lift but that’s about it
  • Not interested in tube fenders
  • Don’t need HD bumpers or winch
What’s out there?
