Hi All,
2006 TJ 4.0 Sport, Dana 44 rear with Drums, no ABS.
I broke my rear left break line (t-splitter to the Drum brake). Having a heck of time finding a replacement for the one line. Rest of the lines look to be in good shape so hoping to avoid buy a full line kit ($$), for one small line. I see a few aftermarket options but all appear to be for disc brakes

Anyone aware of any aftermarket to replace? (mopar# 52008403AD)... I see a couple sketchy websites that say they have it, but unlikely they do.
I am in Canada so options are limited.

Most local auto parts stores carry 3/16" repair sections that are very easy to bend and shape by hand and if you don't have a double flair tool they will generally loan or perform the flair for you.

what about the fitting going into the wheel cylinder?

Will come with the new line if you buy a repair section.

Apologies.... I don't follow.
Would I not need to know the exact fitting and thread size of each end (I dont)?.
Or are you suggesting adding as a patch mid line leaving the original ends intact?

The line is broken flush with the nut on the t block, so that fitting at minimum must be replaced. I will add a photo

You can buy new line with the fittings already installed and the line flared. They sell it in different lengths like 10" 12" 16" and so on... Measure your line to get an idea of the length you'll need.

I'm sure I'll get corrected but I think the fittings are 3/8" x 24 but am sure someone else more knowledgeable can verify.

Thanks..Can anyone confirm if both ends are 3/8 x 24?

Thanks for the links, but remember I am in Canada. So far, either won't ship to me or $50 in shipping and 4 weeks delivery.

If you go to your CA Ebay can you find the same parts? And yes I forget it's such a PITA at times to get things up to you.

Can you get the fitting out of the T-block? That's the first thing you need to figure out and then also can you get the fitting out of the wheel cylinder? Once you know you can get those out or what other parts you might need to replace then order your parts.

Thanks. The wheel cylinder I will replace regardless. Looks very old and rusted bad. The Tblock i won't touch until I retrieve my flare wrenches from my son tomorrow. I assume I can get it off with a little pb blaster and heat

Yes, that's the one quoting dec 16 to 24 for delivery. I found a local provider that says they have one, but will phone to confirm Monday before ordering. If they need to import it will add much delay.

Since that line is already broken there you can use whatever wrenches are needed to get it out. Then verify it's a 3/8" x 24 fitting and go to your local auto parts store & get a premade line like I linked above and the new wheel cylinder.

The block can be removed from the axle to remove the broken end after the other brake line is disconnected by removing the hose and backing the hose fitting off the block

No, leave the block in place, use heat and penetrating oil and remove the fitting. I'm betting that if you snapped the line off, you definitely don't want to touch the hose connection feeding the tee. As previously posted, just get a premade length of line with fittings from your local auto parts store.

Not good advice, the hose is nothing more than the axle vent.
