Hello!

I'm looking to put sound deadening in my cabin in an effort to keep heat out and some noise out.

Currently, the tub is bedlined by the previous owner and also has no carpet. On long drives, the legs and the transmission tunnel gets toasty.

My goal is to lay down sound deadener and then carpet on top of that (and maybe floor mats if it's still bad)

My question is can I put sound deadener over bedliner? I know it has to make good contact to be effective and while I do plan to excessively roll the sound deadner but not sure if the approach is different with bedliner.

Great! That's what I figured too, just haven't seen too many examples of people do that so I wanted to check with the community

I don't particularly like the idea of sound deadener on the floor board. I put it on my firewall behind the HVAC. I also put it on some half doors (and later removed it because it was getting damaged by feet and hands. I'm a bit ambivalent about it. I think sound deadener on the outside of the tub between the transmission and the transmission tunnel is superior. Get something repels heat and it will also help with sound.
