Southwest folks affected by the hurricane

And they don't even have waffle houses to know to leave or not.

So for an extra 50 cents I can add cheese to my grilled cheese sandwich? Can I save some cash and get the grilled ham sandwich, hold the ham?

Why does no water mean no bacon?

What has our world come to? Sad when we rehydrate bacon.

This was months after Katrina. Curfew's, no cell phone towers and the truck stops only had a buffet for us to eat.

Another driver and myself brought 12 of these pipeline padders to Mississippi to screen the beach.

I've been sent out to Trona a few times after storms to clear culverts with a Gradall (like a rubber tire excavator ) or with a Cat grader to reestablish the levee roads and grade the residential dirt roads. Typically the County doesn't maintain the State Hwy. unless requested.

We would stay in Ridgecrest though.

I was in Tucson last week, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Waffle House. I asked my wife and daughter to broaden their horizons and eat there, but I lost that 2 front battle.

You can’t beat their pecan waffles.

In my experience the people who dis Waffle House have never eaten there. I’ve never had better service then I’ve received by the staff there. Whenever I travel in Waffle House territory I always stop there.

We try to hit them when we can. It’s always been decent and reasonable.

Years ago I was in a waffle house outside of Atlanta late night and the waiter (who was dipping copenhagen, yes it was copenhagen becaused I bummed a dip off of him) and the cook got into a fist fight over what eggs over medium meant. Haven't been to a Waffle House since then, but I have been to a Huddle House which is similar (was there in the daylight for breakfast and no fights broke out) and to an IHOP which is the "Waffle House for people who can't fight".

Waffle House‘s around here can be pretty rough on a Friday or Saturday late night. Fights, gunshots, knives, but damn…those pecan waffles!! 😛
