Guys can I get away with something like this for 15x8 wheels and 33x12.5 tires?

Really not wanting to spend a few hundred bucks on a tire carrier but also don't want to mess up my tailgate and create larger issues. Thanks.

I believe Blaine's wife has had a 33" or 35" tire mounted to the stock carrier for years with no issue. It's just a matter of adjusting the rubber bumpers so that they are solid against the tire.

The tire needs something supporting it's weight from underneath as well as the rubber bumpers adjusted properly if you're going to go that route. You'll have to make something for the tire to skip up on when the tailgate is closed or just be really luck and have it work out perfectly to skip up on your bumper like I was :thumbup:
