I have a 2004 that makes a squealing sound between 15 to 25 mph. It seems the sound happens inly when throttle is applied. My assumption is bad u joints, so I plan to replace the axle and rear drive shaft u joints. Any other possible causes?

Also, although the brakes pads look healthy, im going to take them apart to see if the issue is in the brakes. I do have some squealing coming from brakes upon initial pressure.

Please let me known if you have any insights.

My whistle at low speeds ended up being a vacuum leak. I cleaned the throttle body and bought a new main vacuum line for under the hood and that cleared it up

Front driveshaft will make a squealing sound when the CV joint needs replacement. Spray some wd40 or other lubricant on front driveshaft CV and see if that alleviates the sound. Easier than throwing parts at the problem hoping it's fixed. Also look up "angry sparrows", which is potential what you're dealing with.

Thanks for these replies. If it's a vacuum leak, I should be able to hear that sound if revving the engine without moving, so I'll try that today. I looked into the angry sparrows sound, and it's definitely not that sound. So perhaps it's the CV.
