Stalls when clutch is in and in neutral

So, Just to clarify, does it only when you put the clutch in? What happens if you shift it into neutral, and use your brakes and not the clutch?
I guess my question is, does it only die when you put your clutch in and stop? What happens if you don't do that?

I would guess Idle Air Control...Its not opening fast enough to allow air into the throttle body when you close the butterfly plate. If you are idling in the driveway, and hold the rpms up around 2000 RPM for 30 seconds or so, then let off the throttle, will it die in that instance?
