Now that I have my front end shake smoothed out with good tire balancing I am ready to get a new steering stabilizer. I think I have Currie steering. Can anyone confirm that and recommend a steering stabilizer?

Thanks!

Looks like Currie steering.

Monroe is typical recommendation. You might paint it when it arrives so it doesn't rust. Their paint job is suck.

I got a Rubicon Express just to avoid having to re-paint it. It was only about $10 more at the time.

You need nothing more there than a house brand hydraulic steering stabilizer/damper. Monroe is good but they don't include the tapered bolt that is required after removing the factory stabilizer which has the mounting bolt welded to it.

The Currie steering system needs nothing unusual, any made for a TJ will work fine.

This Rancho RS5000 hydraulic stabilizer is as good as any and includes the required tapered mounting bolt. This will work fine... https://www.gorancho.com/products/s...zer/rancho-rs5000-steering-damper-rs5407.html

It's available at Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CB42O2/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I have the yellow OME on my 06- It is the first stabilizer I’ve ever run that feels like you have more caster as far as giving you a little bit heavier hand at the wheel-

Before anything gets started , that feel may be relative because I had a crappy one before or something-

I’m not saying it’s any kind of magic but I’m just saying you can tell you have it on there
