2005 wrangler X automatic with 3.75 gears

dropping from a 4inch skyjaker lift to Stock

I measured My stock springs (Original owner saved them when he did the lift )they look brand new and still have the tags on them
front measure 17"
rear measure 11.75"
Is this the NORMAL height of the ORIGINAL-stock springs?
getting the Rancho RS5000x shocks

the jeeps a daily driver mostly on pavement, crappy pothole-pavement and old non graded dirt roads and winter,I hate winter

Tire questions
going to try and go with Falken Wildpeak A/T4W as supposedly they offer a good ride on pavement and good in snow
I live in Maine and i hate winter not necessarily pinned to Falken but want a smooth quiet ride on pavement and good winter traction
My BFG A/T on it now are fricken noisy and vibrate even with the chalk test 10,000 miles on them

Rims-on it Now American racing aluminum MT-058 15x8J ET-28 (i know nothing about what all that means I just copied it off the rims
3 1/8 backspacing

Stock Rims (previous owner saved these also) 15x7

Id like to keep the tires legal under the Stock fender flairs (owner saved those also, look brand new )

thinking of these tires. looking for tall skinny?
225/75R15 will fit on the stock rims but only an inch larger than the stock 215
30x9.5R15 they say the will fit on a 7inch rim
31x10.50 they say they will fit on a 7inch rim and will fit on my aluminum rims
BUT will they stick out beyond my stock flairs
my 33x10.50 would stick out with the stock flairs so im thinking the 31's would also because of the backspacing on the rims
so im thinking these rims are useless going down to a stock setup

I can post pics if you ask/want them
Thank you for any help you can give me

your Red X
I have the same rims, was yours a 4.0L auto? how was your gas mileage?
did it strain yr tranny any? (I think my BFG T/A 33's are killing my tranny)
Ive got the soft top on mine

what tires are on it? I see "goodyear"
did you have pro's and con's with that size tire? on those rims

I have some notes on spring and shock specs for a stock-height TJ over here. Your spring measurements sound about right.

Whether your tires stick out will be more a matter of wheel choice (due to backspacing / offset).

Thank you
a lot of good info you've collected

A couple of points to call out -
First point tires get noisier as they wear down, the siping on a tires is seldom full depth and once you wear past the sipping then you get noticeable more hum.

2nd point- I am not hearing you wanting a tire a for it’s off road capabilities consider something like this tire. It’s really a passenger rated tire so it’s light for better mpg, soft side walls for better ride, 3peak for good all around tire that sees winter snow. Comes stock on a Toyota Tacoma as an example.

Other brands to choose from this was just handy as an example. .

Cooper Discovery at3 4s ride smooth and are quiet . They also perform well in snow as well as good performance off-road . I ran the Coopers for 11 years on our Jeep and have been running the Cooper at3 on my truck since they came out and have been very happy with them in all weather . I'm currently running Falken at4w on the Jeep because I wanted 255/85r16 which is not available in the Cooper at3 . It's not an apple to apple comparison because the Falken at4w I'm running weighs 14 pounds more per tire than the Cooper at3 235/85r16 that I was running . The Cooper did ride and handle better and also was quieter .

The TJ was leading the snow expedition :)

That was minutes before I bought the Jeep in Dec. 2016.

4.0L with the NSG370
Gas mileage was about 13mpg.
No, didn’t strain my tranny.
Goodyear MTR with Kevlar
Tires were too small. 🤣
