I had a buddy with a stock JKU tell me he wanted to try out this four wheeling thing. He decided he wanted to do a trail instead of a park so I took him over Strawberry pass.

This trail runs 12 miles between highway 50 in Kyburz to highway 88 above Kirkwood. It goes from 5600 feet to 8700 feet . It’s not a very technical trail but it has a few obstacles. We were able to navigate him through most of it and pull him through everything he couldn’t. We brought the kids and they enjoyed the snow at the top.

Absolutely beautiful pictures. I always love taking someone new out. Both the fear and smiles on their faces is priceless! (y)

Very nice, I sure do love the local scenery. Looks like he's already out learning his jeep too, that's always a great thing! Maybe we will run into each other on the trails! Happy jeeping!

There is still snow up top? That’s awesome. Now I am more excited about that Trail can’t believe I have not done it.

Also, it’s an out and back right?

Edit: looked up the map, that’s super cool I always thought it was out and back.

Real sad story about Iron Mtn ski area, they were going to fix it back up and reopen But the caretaker died in a motorcycle accident and vandals burned his toy hauler along with a few buildings and disrepair took care of the rest. I used to ski there back in the day before snowboards. When 200 cm skis were considered short. 😁

I remember having a pair of 205 cm kneissl's then moved down to 180 cm Hart Freestyles then back to 195's

Boy that was a lifetime ago
