Okay so, PO added these wheels and I hate them. I needed new tires and well probably 10K in other things right away, so I bought the new rubber and just ignored the wheels, until now. Would like to put something a little more my age on there but the options are horrible.

Current wheels 9 wide by +12mm / 5.47 BS Stops adjusted aggressively
Looking at wheels 9 wide by -6mm / 4.76 BS That's going to push the tire out by almost 3/4".

This would help any rubbing but going to get the tires out pretty darn far, ball joint issues??

This is what I am looking at. Any other ideas, I do not want to run any spacers or buy new tires.

I am running the Mammoth that you are looking at with a 33" Micky Thompson Baja AT tire and 4" lift. I plan to go to 35's when these tires wear out; as long as I have gotten my new axles by then. These tires have about 10k miles on them and are showing no signs of wearing out anytime soon.

I specifically wanted 17" wheels when I did my lift, tires, & wheels. Everyone and their brother is running 15 or 16" wheels. I also didn't want anything larger than a 17" wheel for the sidewall of the tire would be too small IMO.

  • Size: 17x9 - Front or Rear
  • Bolt Pattern: 5 x 114.3mm (5 x 4.5-Inch)
  • Offset: -6mm, -0.2363 Inch
  • Backspacing: 4.764 Inch, 121.1mm
I have zero rubbing issues with this setup.

I really like those, looks great on your black rig too!

My concern isn't rubbing, it's pushing the tire out even further. With the tube fenders I have, I am already pretty far out there.

Mine stick out of the factory non-Rubicon flares about 1.5".

I looked at mine and I think you will be hard pressed to get much more backspacing to not hit the axle C.
