I’ve been thinking about getting the DV8 avenger hood and cutting out the raised center section and the side vents and cutting/welding it all to a second hoodI like the look of the Duraflex hood. Never seen one in person though.
There's also the idea of a vinyl sticker/wrap for whatever works for you.
I have a 2nd hood that I bought cheap a year or so ago, and have been toying with the idea of either a sticker/wrap or vents. That way I can always revert back to my stock hood if I don't like it.
A hood-mounted hi-lift can maybe look "aggressive" too.
Do you have a winch? I can't quite tell by the pic, but it looks like your bumper is setup for one. If not - there's my recommendation - functional and aggressive looking.

There is MUCH more, and its not his grip. It’s the rest of the family!!Your BIL sounds like a real force to reckon with. Will putting a new hood on his Jeep be enough to loosen his grip?
Peer and family pressure can be a bitch but that's ignorable and no reason to do things like install a useless aftermarket hood that will just let water in to wreak havoc on your electrical connections. Spend your $$$ on upgrades that will actually be beneficial. There is MUCH more, and its not his grip. It’s the rest of the family!!
Thanks you may just be rightPeer and family pressure can be a bitch but that's ignorable and no reason to do things like install a useless aftermarket hood that will just let water in to wreak havoc on your electrical connections. Spend your $$$ on upgrades that will actually be beneficial.
Let me say why I wanted to change the hood. I bought this from my brother in-law. And no matter what I do to it, it is still referred to as his. I completely rebuilt the front axle including brake calipers, complete rear brakes, front bumper and headlights, then a hardtop, leather electric Porsche Panamera seats, new different color carpet and all new hard and soft brake lines, and double din stereo, speakers, backup camera and many many other things. I was thinking a VERY different hood with decals that say TJ’s TJ might finally make it mine
