My TJ came with a sway bar disconnect installed - but one of the stowaway pins on the frame is missing. The spot where you stow the linkage when the sway bar is disconnected (i.e. while off-roading). Does anyone know the size or specs or better yet, a link to amazon or somewhere, so I can buy JUST the missing pin, not a whole kit? Thanks! '99 TJ.

I had JKS Quicker Disconnects on my TJ and had the same issue. JKS didn't have an option to buy those posts on their site, but I called them directly and they sent out a couple. Pretty sure they didn't charge me anything either.

You are looking for a coupler pin.
Here is an Amazon link for 1/4” x 2.5” pins.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JGNTVCS?tag=wranglerorg-20

Measure the pin that you do have, or inner diameter of the pin hole. Mine were 1/4”
You can get coupler pins in the Nuts & Bolts section of Ace, HD or Lowe’s.

thanks! do you need to secure it from the other side of the frame? maybe a dumb question but seems hard to access the other side.

Yeah that picture is right
But not sure how to fasten the nut because the other side of the hole is inside a closed off frame tube
Can you post a pic of the one on the other side that is still there?

This is from another member's JKS disconnects. The storage pin is different than what I posted and is hollow. You drill the frame and run what looks to be a selftapper to secure the storage pin to the frame:

This is what you need. And the black allen head screws in the pic are what hold it to the frame. They bolt to a threaded hole in the frame.

You drill it with a #7 and tap the hole in the frame 1/4-20.

fantastic! do you have a link or name I can search for that bolt kit? Also, I may have a problem because the old hole looks widened and stripped out, like they hit a rock or something. maybe I can tap a new hold next to it in the swivel arch of the linkage, or somehow use existing hole

Truthfully I wouldn’t even bother unless it really bothers you. One side is sufficient to hold the sway bar up and out of the way. I never bothered installing the mounting pins when I ran JKS disconnects and just used a Velcro strap on one side with no issues.

There is a service kit for the links and that part isn't in it. You could call them. You might not be able to get just those, but they might sell you the hardware bag they are in.

On the parts list its called a storage post. On that drawing they call it a pin.

And @L J was correct. The kit comes with a self tapping bolt. And I was wrong on the size. The hole is drilled 17/64" or F and tap it 5/16". And the bolt is a 5/16"x 1.5".

This IMO is an overengineered, expensive, and inferior design. You have to fiddle fart around to get the holes to line up for the lockpin if the either the holder or the coupler pin gets rotated from vibration.

👇 This kit has the lockpin fastened to the axle and does not move. The swaybar link is disconnected and through the large opening gets pinned to a post. Quick and no adjusting necessary.
