The Owners Manual doesn't list a torque spec for the crankcase drain plug.
How about sparkplugs, etc ... ?

Most of use pick up the Factory Service Manual if your into hands on. The originals are usually available on ebay but can be pricey. The alternative is to pick up the disc for viewing on the computer or you can get free access on sites like Morris 4 x 4.

It has every single torque value you need in a very easy to read and understand format. Every TJ owner should have the service manual.

Wait, are you referring to the oil pan drain plug?

Thank you Jim ........ that's exactly what I've been looking for.
Will print it for the TJ Owners Manual with a few modifications ..... eg, 'Oil Pan Drain Plug' ... 25 ft.lbs. / 16mm-6pt.
Was just thinking that the first time mechanics might be helped by a Common Torque Value chart ..... 'sticky' ?

If it's made a sticky, please be sure to reference that torque values will need to decrease if using anti-seize or another form of thread lubricant.

Torque values also change with the heat of the components ..... eg. Cold bolt torqued into hot aluminum (not a good practice) ....

For 2003: Mostly correct, but some of the cells have formatting typos, so you have to sort out the contents. Still, very handy on the phone...
