see there is where you are wrong. People survived for 1000's of years with no power. What will die is our cushy way of life, the human race will be fine, there will just be a shit ton less of us clogging up this planet.
And you speak of this solar paint like all you would need to do is paint your house in it and magically your light switches will still work, it takes inverters, wiring, etc, and a means to store the power (unless you only want power during daylight hours).
If you want to save the planet throw away all your non-essential power sucking devices, I have no time for eco-warriors sporting their fitbit's with their "smart" luggage strolling through the airport to get on a fossil fuel burning plane so they can partake in a pipeline protest, while wearing their plastic sunglasses.
