Got the new tires dirty for the first time today out in Rowher canyon Santa Clarita. Big difference going from 33’s to 35’s . Noticeably smoother over rocky lines , however my 4.56 gears lugged more thank would’ve like , but 4low compensates . Need longer front brake lines !

Looks great man, I dig the wheels w/ the chrome tube bumper - makes for a nice old-school look. What all did you do drivetrain-wise to accommodate the 35s?

Have you done the tire size/gear ratio calculator to see what diff gear ratio takes you back to stock power to the ground? For a Rubicon on 35" tires a gear ratio of 4.7 takes you back to stock power to the ground. That's right on the middle of the to available choices. (I haven't run the calculations for other models of TJ though.)

yea i need 4.88 gears to return to stock, however I can't justify re-gearing again a year later to increase my RPM's by around 200-ish, one of those things i gotta live with.

thanks man! i'm running 4.56 gears, sye and driveshaft, but just ordered a super35 with an eaton e-locker

Nice.. I have some 4.56 gears sitting on the shelf, I'm planning on doing the super35 as well when I get the time. I think I'm going to stay on 33s though, don't really see the benefit of 35s for my own personal reasons but from what everyone says on here you shouldn't be running anything over 33s on a stock Dana 35. Those tires sure to look good though
