The 16 Greatest 'Hero' Cars of all Time

Dukes of Hazard, Herbie, that '32 Ford and the classic, the Batmobile... definitely greats in North America.
Smokey and the Bandit... definitely the best thing that happened for Pontiac sales.
Bullet was a great show. Cool chase sequence. Steve McQueen. The best.
Gotta love actors who can drive.

And Parnelli Jones in a '70 Boss 302... that car and the CanAm Series hooked me on auto racing. The '70s/60s were the peak of uncontrolled, unlimited racing cars. BUT great tho the Porsche 917s were the GT40 was better. 1st, 2nd & 3rd at LeMans... in 1966... incredible. Something to google... why did the second GT40 across the line win the race? Hard to believe it never made the list. The year Ford put away Ferrari at what Ferrari did best.

The 911 RSR was definitely the wildest car ever. Wish I had a million dollars for one.

Isn't it great to be old enough to have seen almost all of them when they were new?
