This forum is priceless in helping me with my LJ. I graduated in 05 when these came out. I wanted one so bad but couldn't afford one because I was so young and just starting out. I was able to get one later in life. But not being well versed in mechanics. I am having to learn on the fly. She's a good Jeep. But anything this old is going to require maintence.

I checked the mounting bolts. I didn't check the crush nuts on the adjustable control arms. It was loose.

Are you talking about the jam nut?
If it's been loose for a while, the threads could be bad inside the tube.
Keep an eye on it for coming loose again.
