The elusive "Big Foot" of door parts (I'm beginning to think it is an urban legend)

I have a 97 TJ with half doors. The rod from the external handle to the door latch has worn out. I cannot find the part anywhere, it's the one that's approximately 6" long, threaded on one end and 90 degree bend on the handle side. All I've found are the rods for the door lock, not the door latch.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as cold weather is coming and I need to put the door back on!

Where are you located? There's a guy on Facebook by me on Long Island that parts out Jeeps many of them are TJ's

Unfortunately I have no help to offer other than my sympathies. My half doors were missing some parts when I bought them and it was a huge ordeal to find some of those items. I think I had almost $200 in small parts like that by the time they were complete. Fortunately I only had about $200 in them to begin with so I still came out ok as far as the half door market goes.

Pics??

Which part is worn? When I replaced my half door latch, the threaded section was good but the clip from the latch side which attaches to the threaded portion had slid down, pretty sure I was able to bend back in place.

I heard you can even get a new wife on ebay, might have to teach the English though........  :ROFLMAO:

Been there, done that. I had to get a refund on mine. ;)
