Very nice and very interesting. That looks like it started life as a JK, then they chopped the back and now they have put a front JL clip on it. Those are JL fenders, grill and hood.

Digging in a bit, the top is nothing more than a Gr8tops kit that is all bolt on. Says you can do the swap in a day. You can use any Ford Ranger bed. ~$4k.
The thing started as an '09 JKU.
As it happens, my wife has an '09 JKU. the gears are turning...

usually during the summer I run my LJ with a bikini top, and use the back as mini-truck bed. it's alright, but not the same as an actual truck.
I had hopes for the gladiator when it was released, but it's just kinda "meh" and far too expensive for what I need.
Wish they would have made the 2 door. I can understand why they didnt.

Same here. It's like every concept they put out- always a "They'll never make that, but damn it would be cool if they did."
It's just me, myself and I so I don't need all the room inside. A 2 door pick up, had they made it, would have suited me just fine.
