Yeah, I don't know of any cable-actuated locker ever offered other than ox.I could see putting a YJ onto a TJ frame/suspension, but not the other way around. You'd get a nicer dashboard that way at least...
From the description, it sounds like it has an OX locker up front. Similar hand throttle setup to mine.
I'm pretty sure he's talking about a cable actuator for the axle disconnect that came on the YJs.I could see putting a YJ onto a TJ frame/suspension, but not the other way around. You'd get a nicer dashboard that way at least...

Aw nuts! I figured @Jerry Bransford would be excited to see another OX in service!I'm pretty sure he's talking about a cable actuator for the axle disconnect that came on the YJs.

It looks like his is most likely the "RT Off-Road Secure Disconnect Lock Kit"

Earlier this year, I installed this cable actuated system in my BIL's 1 ton Cummins Dodge but, sadly has yet to take it off highway.I'm pretty sure he's talking about a cable actuator for the axle disconnect that came on the YJs.

They work pretty good, compared to the vacuum actuator they replace. Gives you a simple 2 low option, that is unless you have a manual locker up front. The biggest issue I saw with people that ran them is they didn't bother to periodically check the adjustment for cable stretch. They would end up with only a partial engagement of the collar and bad things can happen from that.Earlier this year, I installed this cable actuated system in my BIL's 1 ton Cummins Dodge but, sadly has yet to take it off highway.

Generally I like the truck cab conversions... but damn, the rear end of this thing is about as attractive as watching a cow give birth.
Ok - I'm going to file this comment away for future use...Generally I like the truck cab conversions... but damn, the rear end of this thing is about as attractive as watching a cow give birth.
Assisted or unassisted birth? When you need to run what is essentially a jack to get the calf out things get interesting.Generally I like the truck cab conversions... but damn, the rear end of this thing is about as attractive as watching a cow give birth.
We raised a few head of cattle growing up. Ain't none of em pretty. But yeah, assisted birth is worse.Assisted or unassisted birth? When you need to run what is essentially a jack to get the calf out things get interesting.
