This is where the vehicle market is going

Modern cars are built like modern appliances. They’re made to be disposable and only last X numbers of years before they really want you to upgrade. This is especially with all the electronics on them.

Try buying a new refrigerator and then keeping it running for 20 years. They stop making parts after 7 or so years, and when you do need to get parts, the parts are almost as expensive as a new fridge. I know this from going through an ordeal with our old fridge.

OBD2 vehicles will be crushed and no more parts eventually in the salvage yards...

There are always parts floating around, people just don't like paying for them especially when the vehicle doesn't have much value. Search for "Ramcharger ECU" on ebay and you might find out what this guys opinion is worth.
