Let the new Jeep build begin!

Sold our Red LJR yesterday within $1,000 of our asking price. Guy flew in from Vegas for it. Had it up for sale for 6 days before we had a confirmed buyer. Not my fastest sale but I’m pretty happy with it.

Decided to start filming this new 1 owner impact orange build with less than 50,000 miles. This will make the 4th LJ that we will have had/worked on. Two Rubicons and two non rubicons.

The video link is below that goes over the Jeep from when/how we bought it to future plans. I don’t have a set schedule for when the videos will be put out as I’ll have to wait for parts or etc. if you see something in a video that you would like more detail on, post a comment on this thread and I’ll upload detailed photos and go into any details anyone is looking for.

Until then, here are some photos and the video link below. Photos are of our trip when we brought it home, and some detailed photos of the red Jeep after we removed everything. You can also see some of the lift high differences between the orange and red. Enjoy!

previous owner sold it because he bought a new JL Rubicon to tow behind his RV. He also had this awesome 1945 GPW.

Why did he change the shocks with that low mileage? What’s on there now?

Sharp LJ!

I think it was an age issue and not a mileage issue. He just put some cheaper shocks on it. Either pro comp or rancho. Not sure. He used the Jeep to tow behind his motor home. So the 49,000 miles on the odometer are actual driven miles. The speedo doesn’t clock when the Jeep is being flat towed.

I’ll be replacing with some nice Bilstein 5100’s soon.

Very cool! You seem to know your way around Jeeps, surprised your going with 5100s as most claim their too stiff? Ranchos seem to get good feedback especially the 5000x

That’s what we had on the red one. I put a set of Bilstein’s on my uncles Jeep and it rides like a dream lol.

so from my experience, I’m going with the Bilsteins.

That's a clean PA Jeep. It's amazing how the stance is so different from your other LJ. The new one looks like it's arse is dragging on the ground.

Tampa, FL.

I wasn't into Jeeps when I was there, but I don't know that I ever saw any LJRs. You may have the only orange one in the area...
