The article speaks mostly about the military units, I was the project manager for the civilian side of this mission. I helped write the plan and bought 1500 tractors and 10000 trailers plus the material handling and recovery. We usually had one person injured due to enemy action every day and averaged 2 casualties per month. I ran it from 2003 to 2007, and stayed on until 2009. Civilians carried the cargo, the military carried the guns. Met a lot of great people there.
