I had a very interesting professor for concrete structural design in college. I still remember a number of things that he said, more than 20 years later. When we started learning about proper splicing methods for rebar, I remember him stressing that you never ever weld rebar. He said any welder will tell you, "I can weld that sumbitch" but don't ever do it.
I'm pretty sure the guy said, "I can weld that sumbitch" right before creating that wheel.

I think I see the problem. One of those lug nuts looks like a bolt.
