Hello, I seemed to have stripped the threads while removing the FRONT BUMPER HOOKS from a 2006 LJ to install a winch plate. Need to purchase a TAP. What is the thread size? (I know it's 1/2") but not sure what the pitch is.... Thanks!

You should spray any bolt on a TJ with PB Blaster for several days before actually trying to remove them. Probably eaten up by rust.

Seriously, PB-Blaster is barely better than WD40 which is not even considered to be a penetrant. Far better for that job than PB-Blaster is Kroil, Liquid Wrench, or Break-Free. Liquid Wrench is almost as good as Kroil but it's a lot cheaper to buy. Both of those outdo Break-Free and all three significantly outperform PB-Blaster.

Truth! Kroil is harder to come by than any of these. Liquid wrench is cheap and easily available. Check this out! This guy is as honest and legit as they come.

Where do the tow hooks mount? I’ve wanted some but I have an aftermarket bumper so I’m not sure if they’d fit.

The same two pairs of 1/2x13 bolts on top of the bumper that secure it to the frame will be used to hold the new tow hook(s). You need replacement bolts that are 1" longer than what is in there now to hold the hooks and they need to have a Grade 8 rating. The factory bolts were Grade 5.
