I've had a whistle sound for a while now but have never looked into the cause.
The only time it happens is at a certain gas pedal position. Doesn't matter what gear it's in or the rpms of the engine. The position of the pedal is normally under acceleration so luckily it doesn't whistle while cruising.

What intake are you using? Some stupid aftermarket intakes whistle at times. Had a PO installed K&N on my LJ that whistled at like 60% throttle input. Found and went back to a factory intake; problem solved.

I have K&N, 60% seems really high. Mine will start whistling when I push enough to accelerate but if I push more it will go away until the pedal crosses over that "sweet spot". I've been looking for stock replacement, maybe start looking harder now.

Installed the stock parts and have a couple of questions.

Does this hole just stay open? Is it for drainage?

Is this ok to bend like this?

My jeep doesn't sound great when I turn it off it sounds like there is metal grinding.
