When turning full left low speed getting a thud/popping noise. Replaced front axle with revolution gear axles. Is this normal movement for the front track bar. The noise is only occurring when turned fully or almost fully to left and at low speeds.

Also, I remember before we lifted up the keep a few months ago and rotated the front tires and occasionally would get a clinking/ grinding noise. Could this be something in the front diff? This was before we put in new axles/ u joints etc

Man get a bolt on that and start checking everything- it could be that end about to work loose.

Also possibly it’s an axle u joint. Spray wd 40 on it- if it quietens down it needs replaced along with the right side if it is the same age-

A rig in that condition probably needs the front shaft serviced, bushings, tie tod ends and just TLC all over. Not saying throw parts at it- learn the dry test and diagnose first.

Sorry should have been more clear along when replacing the axle the u joint and all where done aswell, I keep everything in good condition. And everything is tourqued etc. replaced hub assembly’s, rotors brakes calipers tie rod, drag link, Adams drive shafts, sye. Just trying to figure out the popping.

I’m confused- I read all is in good shape and see a track bar missing a bolt- i may have the timeline wrong on your work , etc

Might lift it up and run it carefully in drive

If its an auto make sure the crossmember bolts are tight

Could the axle u joint have been damaged during install

Run it in 4wd and see if it changes

Do a dry test and check all connections- move the steering wheel 10-2 slowly and watch every connection for slop. Running and non running.

Make sure your body mounts are snug and all control arm connections are properly torqued.

Keep us updated- when you learn and report back we learn.

Your link doesn’t work for me.

I’d probably lift the front up and check for wheel play (12 and 6 o’clock and in/out play)

Try to have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth with the key on and engine off while you look for play in the components up front. I’d likely also turn the engine on and look for play that way as well.

Amongst other things, look for lateral play in the ball joints and look to see if the track bar has play.
