Something that may seem a bit insignificant, but I really love the chunky switches on the center console of the TJ - the ones for the rear defroster, rear wiper, O/D Off and Axle Lock. Big, beefy and a satisfying clunk when you push them.

To piggy back that, is there a switch bank available to fit that plastic protrusion next to them? I've decided I don't like the way the PO has the extra lights wired up and have decided if I want extra lights like fogs and such that I want an actual switch to operate them rather than having to hold the high beam stalk back.

To that end, is there a bank of switches you can buy to go there for that kind of thing?

I think there is something that folks have added in there, I have seen it on the forum here somewhere. The only thing though is it would require you to do some console cutting and trimming if I remember correctly, but it is a possibility for sure. Just not a direct pop it in there and be done though, its a little more involved but looks clean in the end.

I've got a couple light switches installed on that panel.

You can find stock switch panels for the spot next to it and modify them to fit in that spot. I've seen people do that, too.

I ordered the above then realized from a 4 am dead sleep I forgot to see if they were tj compliant. Of course not.
So I planned to use them cuz they look sharp but to make the panel work, I would have to cut into the ashtray area.
I just can't cut into a part no longer ome made. :-/

I don't know of an OEM replacement switch panel for the blank square area to the right of the existing switches. Try a marine supply house. They have good quality switch panels. What is the blank square space for originally?
