TJ Diet: How to Keep Your TJ Light

It's not just about the armor. Every modification has to be weighed, pun intended. The question that has to be asked is, do I gain an advantage that makes the additional weight worth it? If so, where can I make trades elsewhere?

Weight is cumulative and has to be treated as such. Like diets, saving weight in a TJ is a lifestyle change. One that costs money, to save weight. Sometimes, adding the weight is a calculated move. For example, can I run a Dana 30 up front, along with a 231? Or, do I really need to pack on an additional 100+ lbs by adding a 241 and front Dana 44?

That said, for me, weight on a TJ is both art and science. Figuring out the balance is the difference between success, or not!
