I just tried starting my Jeep and instead of crancking there are very fast loud clicks. Any ideas what this could be?

Like a dead battery or a corroded battery cable to the battery?

Clean and tighten battery cables to the battery and to the starter...

Take them off to clean even if look good. And check if just a dead battery.

When u say clicks I'm picturing the starter clicking from not getting enough juice from the battery.. Unless u meant something else.

Happens to the best of us. My brother had a similar issue with his Ford Ranger. Physically could not tighten the clamp any tighter. I went to wiggle the clamp and it just pulled right off. The bolt had seized.
